JayceLand's Weekly Rochester Events #103: Larry and the End of the Actinides

Ok, so what did you get? Shout outs go to Rob, Matt, Mike, Tina and Jan for their Amazon gifts from the wish list. They're on the good list and will receive ... rewards. Too bad if you haven't been personally recognized. Anyway, ask on Saturday and I'll let you know about all my new beautiful toys.

Hey, did you see that Circuit City commercial where the guys are playing video games in the store and there's a woman outside with a bullhorn calling to one of them? Did anyone else think it was funny they were using the sound effects from the Atari 2600 version of PacMan? I didn't think so. :-)

  • Quills - A French author who writes about sexual situations gets his works smuggled into an asylum.
  • An Everlasting Piece - An obvious plot about wigs, toupeés, and the IRA.

Checked personally by Jayce O'Bagelo's, 165 State Street, noon. Steve said John said they were open this weekend too.

Checked personally by Jayce Eddie Nebula and the Plague with The Sluts will be at Monty's Krown (875 Monroe Ave.) starting around 10:30. There's a $2 cover. For those of you into some rock with a punk slant, this is probably worth it.

Also, The Bug Jar (219 Monroe Ave.) is having Garage Pop 12 with The Quitters, The Grinders, The Hi-Risers, The Priests, Paulie Rocco and The Single Whips. I'm betting it'll start early around 8 or 9.

Richmonds (21 Richmond St.) has Doctor Pocket starting around 10.
