M O V I E S	Committed - Heather Graham plays a woman whose husband has a midlife crisis and she follows him across the country. Frequency - AT&T creates a phone to talk to the dead with paradoxical consequences. The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas - The Great Gazoo is brought to life to save the failure that is the Flintstones live action movie series with results not unlike his appearance in the original animated series. Where the Heart Is - Natalie Portman plays a 17 year old pregnant girl who moves into a local Wal-Mart.
T H U R S D A Y	For some top notch entertainment, White Cotton Panties are playing at Norton's Pub (1730 Goodman St.) The only thing to taint an otherwise excellent evening is Rist Rocket as an opening band. Tonight's good bet at Monty's Krown (875 Monroe Ave.) is Eddie Nebula & The Plague with Dead Blue Hand. Last but not least, Gaylord, California is Not an Island and The Dimitri Gurevitch Quintette will be at the First Annual Socialist Ball at Red (171 St. Paul) Oh yeah, and Better Days will be at Spur of the Moment (4670 Dewey Ave.) Yeesh! Didn't anybody hear of Friday?
F R I D A Y	First up, din-din once again at California Rollin' I've been curious for a couple weeks about Estrofest at School of the Arts (45 Prince St.) It's a female-oriented sketch comedy show. Karaoke with Sugar Bear at Boston Brew Company (251 Exchange Blvd.)
S A T U R D A Y	O'Bagelo's, 165 State Street, noon. Later at Monty's Krown (875 Monroe Ave.) is The Priests CD release party with El Destructo, The Vertigo-Gos, and The Grinders. Sounds like fun. Meanwhile, on the other middle of town, The Buddhahood will be at Frankie and Louie's Bayou Bar & Grill at The Centers at High Falls. W E D N E S D A Y	I've got a luke-warm interest in seeing Dido with Tara MacLean at Water Street Music Hall (204 N. Water St.) The Nuts & Bolts Improv Troupe will again be at Club Vibes (150 Andrews St.) at 8:00 p.m. It's $5 to get in and it's way totally worth it. Dan Liberto hosts his Open Mic Comedy Night at Froggy's Bar & Grill (1129 Empire Blvd.)
